The covered button that is one of the hallmarks of this family of furnishings helps ensure that the backrest retains its intended shape. Dundra easy-chair is a great choice in, for example, lobbies, waiting rooms and lounges. Stefan Borselius has designed the Dundra seating series – chair, easy-chair and bar stool. The gently rounded lines clearly show the series’ close kinship with Dunder sofa. The brief called for a design that built on the thinking behind Dunder sofa to create a family of products comprising sofa, chair, easy-chair and bar stool. Ever since Blå Station was founded in 1986, one of the company’s basic ideas has been to create families of furnishings, using the same concept and components to produce different items of furniture.

Koja Element is a sound-absorbing room divider in the Koja series. It provides protection against noise and screens off movement. Koja Element is ideal in libraries or open-plan offices. The Koja family also includes sofas and easy chairs in both high and low versions. Used together with Koja Element, matching Koja sofas and/or chairs can be used to create a “room within a room”.

Developing a chair is one of the hardest tasks a furniture designer can face, not only because of the need for excellent seating comfort but also because of the fact that the chair must be able to fit in many different environments, feel unique and be able to stand out while still feeling like a permanent fitting. It was not easy, and it required a total of 32 sketches and four prototypes to find its way into production. CJ3 offers excellent comfort in a variety of seating positions. You can sit "straight ahead," and the chair provides excellent lumbar support. It is designed to provide support and comfort while sitting at other angles as well. The dorsal angle is designed so that your neck will always feel comfortable and relaxed. The horsehair padding and flax gives firmness in the seat and back that enables you to sit for a long period of time in the armchair. The quality of the materials ensures that the high level of comfort will not deteriorate over the years.

B25 is an easy chair in compression-moulded birch with a surface of ash veneer. The seat is upholstered in polyether foam and down. B25 is the perfect solution in, for example, lounges, libraries and hotels, where the chair offers a secluded place in which to relax. Blå Station is 25 years young in 2011, and Cate & Nelson were commissioned to design a product to commemorate the occasion – B25. Their brief was to base this product on the language of design that characterised Blå Station in its earliest days – the round birch-wood ring and natural tanned leather from Tärnsjö Tannery. The result, B25, also builds on the idea of furnishings as members of a family – creating not just a single item of furniture, but a small series, a group of furnishings or a family based on the same idea and using the same basic components. Their brief was to base this product on the language of design that characterised Blå Station in its earliest days – the round birch-wood ring and natural tanned leather from Tärnsjö Tannery. The result, B25, also builds on the idea of furnishings as members of a family. The allusions to Börge Lindau’s Oblado series are unmistakable. We first manufactured the iconic round ring in birch in 1986 – and the very same tool has now been used for B25. The B25 family also includes an easy chair and an ottoman. Press, design PetterssonRudberg (2015), is the result of an undertaking to construct a folding table made entirely out of wood. The challenge was to make a table that was lighter yet just as stable to use, just as simple to fold up and just as long-lasting as similar constructions. The tabletop is veneered with oak, birch, ash or finished in one of our standard stains on ash, black desktop and white or grey laminate. The table is supplied with a wooden edge strip or for a more durable tabletop, choose a plastic edge strip in white, grey or black.
